2021 Syrah Rosé

2021 Syrah Rosé. Feingold Vineyards, Sonoma Mountain.

The syrah was picked over 3 time over the course of 2 weeks with 3 different protocols. The first was heavily foot-treaded in a 40 yr old basket pressed slowly over several hours to yield a dark-extracted rose. The second when pressed whole bunch and under-extracted (the skins and unpressed grapes went into the first vintage of Le Chaos). The third was free run from crushed and destemmed maceration.

The ferment was took 12 months to complete and was bottled in October of 2022.
